Dawn Hammer joined the DL Townsend Agency is September 2014 and has been in the insurance industry for 20+ years. Prior to joining the DLT Staff, Dawn was a licensed agent in Minnesota, Virginia and Pennsylvania and had prior experience with several large companies, including Erie Insurance, Progressive, Chubb, CNA, and Lincoln Financial.

Dawn enjoys developing customer relationships and helping with their insurance needs. She understands the importance of educating the consumer when purchasing insurance and delivering outstanding customer service involving policy changes, billing and claims.

Originally from Southwest Virginia, she and her family moved to the Pittsburgh area in January 2005.  Dawn lives in Peters Township with her husband Mark and two rambunctious Boston Terriers, Roxie and Sadie. Her children, McKenna and Mitch are recent college graduates and both are living in Ohio. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, researching genealogy, bowling and is an amateur photographer.
